Rope rescue is one of the more technically complex aspects of Search and Rescue. It involves specialized ropes, complex knots and equipment, and plenty of training and practice.

Many of our members, being outdoor enthusiasts, also have excellent climbing and mountaineering skills. These skills are paramount to being able to successfully use the proper equipment in these types of rescues. To become Rope Certified, members must complete a series of intensive courses which include technical written and practical exams.
